Aspiring rapper and producer Solo, has been dubbed the new Tupac only 19 years of age but is taking the music scene by storm. He is from the poorest borough in London Newham but that hasn’t stopped him chasing his dreams. Over the past few years solo has been in trouble with the law on multiple occasions but after signing for Boy Better Know at the beginning of the year he sorted himself out.

The underground battle rapper has recently released a mix tape titled trouble in paradise which features a variety calibrations that are known in the hip-hop and grime seen such as gigs skepta  and tiny tempeh. This mix tape has given critical acclaim and there are even talks of the young rapper winning a mobo.


When asked in an interview where he would like to go from here he responded “I would like to give back to my community” and then went on to talk about his deprived area and influences that encourage young people make bad decisions in life “which ultimately leads to two things prison or death”. Although he passion is there will solo be able to actually make a difference or just talk the talk without walking the walk.
